Catholic Devotion: Novena for God's Mercy, Day 4

Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and shall ever be, world without end, Amen.

Divine Mercy, gushing forth from the bosom of the Father, I trust in Thee! Divine Mercy, sweet relief for anguished souls, I trust in Thee! Divine Mercy, astonishment for Angels, incomprehensible to saints, I trust in thee!

Oh Father of mercy, Hear our voice, and let our cry come to thee, Remember this day Your children caught up in a web of loneliness and isolation, locked away, abused, forgotten, ignored, those who make bad decisions because of the plight of their desperation – have mercy on them and on the whole world!

I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love you.

Divine Mercy, crown of all of god's handiwork, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, in which we are all immersed, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, sweet relief for anguished hearts, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, only hope of despairing souls, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, repose of hearts, peace amidst fear, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, delight and ecstasy of holy souls, I trust in You.
Divine Mercy, inspiring hope against all hope, I trust in You.

Eternal GOD, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

may you use them for helping and healing.
I offer you my feet,
may they walk in your ways.
I offer you my tongue,
may it speak words of blessing and not hurt.

O Lord,
Today, teach me to trust you more,
to let myself always be the tool in your hand,
to never turn away from your grace or your call,
this day and always,
Amen.

O FATHER of mercies,
from whom cometh all that is good,
I offer my humble petitions unto Thee
through the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Thy dearly beloved Son, our Lord and Redeemer,
in whom Thou art always well pleased
and who loves Thee so much.

Grant me the grace of a lively faith,
a firm hope and an ardent charity toward Thee
and toward my neighbor.
Grant me also the grace
to be truly penitent for all my sins together
with a firm purpose of never offending Thee again;
so that I may be enabled to live always
according to Thy divine good-pleasure,
to do Thy most holy will in all things
with a generous and willing heart,
and to persevere in Thy love even to the end of my life. Amen

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee,
Whatever may befall me, Lord, though dark the hour may be;
In all my woes, in all my joys, though nought but grief I see,
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.

When those I loved have passed away, and I am sore distressed,
0 Sacred Heart of Jesus, I fly toThee for rest.
In all my trials, great or small, my confidence shall be
Unshaken as I cry, dear Lord, I place my trust in Thee.

This is my one sweet prayer, dear Lord, my faith, my trust, my love,
But most of all in that last hour, when death points up above,
O sweet Savior, may Thy face smile on my soul all free.

Grant we beg of you, that we may worthily adore this price of our salvation, and through its power be safeguarded from the evils of the present life, so that we may rejoice in its fruits forever in heaven. Through the same Christ our Lord. R/ Amen.
