IT'S FICTION! And of no importance.

The question is, as with the Harry Potter books, has the individuals even had the strength of character to read the book that he is condemning, or does he merely condemn by way of inuendo that he has heard from another person?
If you haven't read the book, I suggest you do so. And, YES, it is a work of fiction. ENJOY!

Just say its a fictional book that isn't even that good, I know from reading the boring book. Any book where the lead detective is an artist is BORING.

That doesn't mean there are those who won't use its message as an excuse not to believe. I spoke to a seemingly intelligent man on the plane a couple years ago who informed me that it was true. I shook my head in disbelief and assured him it wasn't and that he should check which category of the NY Times Bestseller list it was on.

IT'S FICTION! And of no importance. So was Fahrenheit 9/11 yet that didn't keep the media from inundating us with updates about how "important" this film was and the "controversies" about its message.

Being fiction does not make it "of no importance". If a film is telling falsehoods about Christ, Christianity, and the Church, it is also leading people away from the aforementioned as well.
Being that we certainly don't think God is fiction, this is a troubling thing. Catholics and other Christians have a duty to set the record straight on the Da Vinci Hoax.
