13 February 2006, 14:40 Moslems have no right to demand respect for Islamic traditions from Europeans, as they themselves do not respect European values - expert

Moscow, February 13, Interfax - Vladislav Inozemtsev, Doctor of Economics, academic leader of the Center of Post-Industrial Social Studies, believes the Moslems, before raiding embassies, should learn to respect European values.

‘It is not Europeans who should learn to respect the values of the East, but Moslems themselves should respect the values of their host countries’, the scientist stated as cited by Nezavisimaya gazeta daily on Monday.

He reminded his audience that the number of mosques and prayer houses has increased from three to over three thousand in the period from 1970 to 2004 in Germany alone.

‘Moslem ideologists could have demanded respect for Islamic traditions from Europeans if they themselves had shown respect for the European ones. If, for instance, Moslem religious leaders had interfered in ‘the hijab case’ advising girls to abandon their demands and calling them to respect French laws, their claims on the Danish press would have been justified’, the expert believes.

Inozemtsev also noted that during the British colonization of the Middle East, missionary work among the local population was strictly prohibited. ‘The Europeans showed respect for Islam as a great religion of the nations in that part of the world and did not impose their own rules in that sphere’, he said.

Good piece. Those two are ballsy for sure. Too bad France let itself be infiltrated like that. It will be hard for us to save them next time without a lot of collateral damage.

This guy has it right, but muslims seem to respect nothing. When they can't find anyone else to kill, they kill each other.

If you believe Mohammed was forced to recite the Koran by an angel, why in the world would you respect European values?

European values aren't Islam, so they're automatically wrong.

Don't even bother appealing to 'fair play'. It ain't in the book.
