Has FBC chosen Vines sucessor yet?
No official word yet.
A few months ago the chairman of the pulpit committee made an announcement to the church. He said they had not chosen a pastor but that the church bylaws stated that the prospective pastor would come to preach (more than once I think 8^] ) and the church would take a vote on him.
There's always been a bit of buzz around that they've picked someone but I don't know. I'm confident that the Lord will provide a committed Bible preacher to us at the right time.
Change can be good and we all need to be reminded to focus on the real priorities.
Dr Vines will definitely be missed.
The last night of Pastor's Conference we will have all our choirs from 2nd grade thru adult singing in the finale. It is going to be something, I can tell you that!!
I'm sure we're going to have overflow. It's been announced that over 9000 pastors are coming to conference this year. That means we will have to probably sit in the old auditorium or dining room to see the service. I'll get there as early as I can!
