Yes, creeping socialism in the "mainstream" Christian churches is quite a problem. The leadership of most of these churches is getting dangerously estranged from the gospel in my opinion, and indeed they are becoming disconnected from the flock as well. There is all kinds of stuff out there about the NCC. Robert Bork was shouting this from the rooftops almost twenty years ago.
I read a book called "God and Business". The author asserted that the pulpit has always regarded the business class with suspicion - as though somehow the worker class is free of greed. I know that there are some people who use the scripture for causes and worship the cause above God. What is really scary is that there are real Christians, probably better Christians than myself, that still fall for the socialist lies.
