You called him to the holy call of your lordship:
may he be the steward of your divine mysteries,
a chosen priest and a trustworthy leader;
a teacher wise in all virtue for the sake of your flock;
a ministering priest, alert and dilligent,
to whom you entrusted the keys of the heavenly Kingdom,
that he may open the doors of repentance
to those who are brought back to you;
a praiseworthy priest,
who increases the evangelical talent
thirty-, sixty- and one-hundred-fold;
a chosen priest, who is concerned with keeping your divine precepts.

May our Lord in His merciful wisdom guide you along this path and may our Blessed Mother shield and protect you with her mantle.

I will pray for you.

I am sorry to hear that your previous pastor has died. Be sure to contact any priests who served his parish as parochial vicar or who may have known him well. While you may not know them well, they may be able to help you.

And don't forget to ask your current pastor for help. (I don't know much about applying to seminary, but I assume on some level it's just like applying to grad school or for a job!)

I, too, will pray for you. It is always wonderful to read about those who are called and are responding to the call to the Priesthood and religious orders.

I will pray for you...and also (an idea from a layperson) that you ask your current Priest if he could suggest someone with whom you could meet and discuss your application and need for a second letter.

Or, if your current Priest would arrange an interview or conference or something with your Bishop for that purpose. Ask for some help with your second letter from those who might have contacts and can introduce you.

This is the blog of a few very wonderful Priests...
http://ragemonkey.blogspot.com/
and I bet they'd give you great advice if you were to visit there and/or email them.

Could you go talk with them? What about a priest that knew your mother and father and knew you as a child? The priest where you were baptized or made your First Communion or the Church where you were confirmed.

Did you attend any Catholic schools? Maybe there could be a connection there.

What about any friends of the family who are priests who might know of you.

O Loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests and religious,
take to your heart your children who are close to you
because of the power which they have received to carry
on the work of Christ in a world which needs them so much.

AMEN

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You for the truth of Your Word ... "Faithful is he who has called you, and He will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:22. Thank You that for every need, there will be a provision. Pour out Your blessings upon Credo as he seeks a life of service in Your Name. Lead him to act upon those suggestions that can bring him closer to fulfilling his call to the priesthood ... grant him a sense of ease and calm as he continues to honor and glorify Your Name. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ...
