Great post, as always. Tonight was one of the nicest 12 Gospel services I've ever been to -- came in at about 2 1/2 hours, but it didn't feel like it at all. One of our better turnouts, too.

I even got to chant "Today He is suspended upon the tree who suspended the earth upon the waters..." in Byzantine chant, with the choir doing ison. Last year the priest did it, but this year he asked me to do it. Really hurt my feelings!

Nothing quite like the sound of Plagal 2nd... Very moving.
