Peter in Acts 2 clearly construed the context as fitting for exhorting
CHRISTIANS
IN THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH ERA.
I choose to agree with Peter about context.
I realize . . . . some . . . .
seem very bent on going with an Old Testament
RELIGIOUS
mentality
very common in the Old Testament and
amongst the Old Testament experts of Jesus' dusty pathed days.
But Peter was quoting Joel, where the audience was Jewish, and all the hearers in Acts 2 were Jewish.
So I ask again, whose sons and daughter did Joel/Peter have in mind? What makes you believe this applies to any group other than the immediate one in Acts 2?
