VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE
LibertyPost.org | 10/10/03 | BADJOE (Slightly revised by JimRob)

Edited on 10/10/2003 2:27:00 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.

Oh, absolutely!!! I couldn't agree with you more! The fruits of the Spirit are described in Galatians 5:22-23:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

That is why I have recommended that we should all pay particularly close attention to any poster whose conduct would be characterized as loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, gentle, good, faithful, meek and self-controlled.

Conversely, we would be better off ignoring the posts of posters whose conduct would be characterized as hateful, angry, anxious, impatient, rough, mean, fickle, proud or impulsive.

Ouch! I would not be a bidder in such an auction, but there may be some bids placed to get me to leave. LOL!

I also agree wholeheartedly with that. I also make 2 comments. No person is the Spirit. There is an "argument" going on.

Thank you for your post, but I'm not sure what you mean. I abide in Christ as I am commanded to, in order to allow the Spirit to bring forth fruit:

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. - John 15:4-8

Here I go again. I am compelled of the Spirit to post a few more passages:

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. – John 17:20-23

Thank you for your post, but I'm not sure what you mean.

You are confusing two scriptures. Christ described a vine in the book of John to describe the fruits of ministry. Paul in the letter to Galations described the Comforter sent by Jesus.

Jesus described himself in Matthew.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Mat 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Mat 10:36 And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.

Wonder if he realizes that in almost all of the colonies, Catholics and Jews weren't allowed to vote or hold public office.

Think about it - if you ran a political discussion website, would you ask me to be a mod? It's just plain silly.

Definitely, especially after you sold out Ambassador Spock to Commander Sela of the Romulan Empire like that. ;-)

At post 1661 Dales made an appeal to all of us. I support the recommendation and will cooperate in making peace by keeping my own.

We have a perfectly fine Agreement, envisioned and crafted by you, PatrickHenry and others. This agreement can work, as evidenced by the number of people who have placed their faith and trust in it. The problem children (the same individuals who refused to sign or withdrew support) are for the most part gone. The few remaining will also either leave, or we will learn how to deal effectively with them. Time, patience and restraint are all that are needed now to ensure success.

Maybe you already know this, but the way that archeologists, anthropologists, and historians decide who's related to whom when studying peoples who didn't leave written records relies on physical evidence like the style of their pottery, the weave of cloth, the style of their gravesites, and so forth.

These days there are geneticists who study DNA in ancient bones.

You, on the other hand, as far as I can tell, don't base your arguments on any physical evidence whatsoever, yet there is no written record that you cite, either.

I suppose you must have some kind of proof?

Thank you for sharing your interpretation of those passages, AndrewC. We are in disagreement, but I defer to the wisdom of Gamalial in Acts 5, i.e. you may have a mission which is quite different from mine and I do not wish to interfere.

My niche and mission in this life is consumed in the Great Commandment:

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

We love him, because he first loved us.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. - I John 4:16-21
