MEXICO CITY - Mexican federal lawmakers yesterday bemoaned Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger's election as California governor and issued a stern call to the novice politician to respect the rights of Mexican migrants in North America's largest state. "This is something about which Mexican migrants should be very concerned," said Rep. Carlos Jimenez, secretary of the foreign relations committee in Mexico's lower house of Congress.

Schwarzenegger, who migrated to the United States from Austria in 1968, supported Proposition 187, an initiative that was passed by voters in 1994 that denied services to illegal migrants. It was later tossed out by a federal judge.

No Schwarzenegger Immigrated the the US in 1968, he did not come here for SS benefits and free healthcare.

WTF is he doing press conferences in Mexico?! I don't care for the guy much, but this is assinine! He's a former president of THIS country, his press conferences, if any, should only be here.
