One major thing to consider regarding the charges: Don't you think that if the charges could stand up to scrunity, they would have made them weeks ago and spent weeks harping on them. The very fact that they sprung it last minute, shows that the charges woud disintegrate upon close scrunity, as some of them already being shown to be totally false.

I believe that these are credible arguements concerning the charges. After all the searching, this is the best shot they could take. Look Schwarzenegger admits some improper activity. That's why I'm not willing to dis these charges completely. I do not want to get into the position of trashing women who come forward unless it is very clear that they are making suspect charges. On the other hand we can't just destroy a man's political career on charges that cannot be substantiated or rebutted in a couple of days.

Yep. I would never condone truly awful behavior (i.e., Clinton) and if it turns out some of this stuff about Arnold is true I'll be disappointed, but just listening tonight to the story of Gloria Allred's new "client" fall apart (via a caller to KFI), who knows how much of this is just garbage, especially with the TIMES using all those anonymous sources, who could be *anyone*. (I was appalled Ceci Connolly defended the TIMES on the Fox News panel today, saying the Thursday "shoe drop day" story just "wasn't ready" any earlier -- Michael Barone called it for what it was, partisan dumping on the candidate the TIMES didn't like.)
