In a desperate, last-ditch effort to do its bit and turn the tide for Gray Davis, The Today Show dedicated its entire crucial first-hour to a discussion of the sexual harrassment/Hitler comments controversies swirling around Arnold.
Beyond the subject matter itself, the guests invited in to discuss the matter was perhaps even more revealing of The Today Show's blatant liberal bias.
First up was one of Arnold's harrassment accusers. She was accompanied by uber-feminist lawyer Gloria Allred.
You might have thought that to provide balance, Today's subsequent guest would have been an Arnold supporter. Think again. It was none other than CA Dem Sen. Dianne Feinstein, perhaps Davis's most influential and public supporter.
The accuser described a situation in which she was in Gold's Gym (I did not hear exactly when the incident took place, but judging by the apparent age of the accuser, I would assume it was some years ago). She stated that Arnold walked by and suddenly groped her breast.
She stated she was shocked. Under questioning by Lester Holt (filling in for Matt Lauer who's wife has given birth), she admitted that she never went to authorities or discussed the incident before, because this was the first opportunity she had had.
The accuser declined to answer Holt's question as to whether she was a Democrat, but did state she would not be supporting Arnold in the recall. She stated that it was possible that Arnold had acted in a playful manner.
Allred was having none of the "playful" stuff. She said that some of the allegations against Arnold constituted sexual battery. She called for a specific admission by him of what he precisely did in each case, and demanded that the CA legislature conduct hearings into sexual harrassment on Hollywood movie sets.
Then it was on to Feinstein. In a carefully orchestrated one-two punch, she focused on Arnold's book proposal in which he had allegedly praised Hitler. Feinstein stated that she, "understandably, was particularly offended by this" (likely alluding to the fact that she is Jewish).
Speaking of being Jewish, Feinstein had the "chutzpah" to to deny that politics were involved in these revelations and their timing! She suggested that this was simply an appropriate examination of the character of someone running for high office.
Although the entire orchestration of the morning's segments was right out of the Davis playbook, Couric essayed a semblance of fairness by raising the issue of Dem hypocrisy - criticizing Arnold now, while giving Bill Clinton a free pass when it came to his sexual misconduct.
Couric also pointed out that Clinton initially denied his transgressions, whereas Arnold promptly admitted and apologized for them, and asked whether Feinstein gave Arnold credit for the way he's handled the situation. And Katie even raised the issue of Dems having claimed in Clinton's case that a person's private conduct didn't affect his ability to govern.
Of course Feinstein was having none of it. No, there was no double standard. "Bill Clinton knew, and I knew, that I was concerned about the allegations concerning him." Of course she never made a public peep about her concerns, but that's neither here nor there!
Instead of duct-taping Gloria Allred's mouth, we should just apply Alpha Bill's crotch to her face. In her book, that ISN'T sexual harassment, but one of Big Bill's job perks.
....I guess you haven't been reading all the threads completly. The latest groping happened in 2000, they were married in the 1980's. Let's not distort the facts.
ARNOLD SHOULD GET "one free grope!" WELL KATIE!!!!
ALLred has no case.

Ms Steinem & "Her One Grope Policy."
Will you keep your big feminist mouth shut the next time some man is accused of sexual harrassment and claims the Steinem/Clinton one free grope rule?
And why in your world is it unacceptable for a man to talk about pubic hairs on coke cans and porno movies, but it is acceptable for a man to grope female employees or to use his position of authority to get ****jobs from a fat, impressionalbe, airhead intern?
Ask her this every time she comes out in public.
Ann Coulter writes...
Poe's epilogue, titled "The End of Manhood," is really an epilogue for feminism. After abandoning 30 years of sermons on sexual harassment to introduce the "one free grope" rule when it came to impeached former president Bill Clinton, feminism was already hanging by a thread.
