So we have a producer, Butler, and a consultant, Davis, who recall Schwarzenegger's Hitler statements. We have editors Bartz and Silk who don't recall the interview, but aren't sure. We have an account from Matxon, Butler's agent, that Butler was pitching the Hitler interview in his book deal.
Butler may or may not have a transcript. Schwarzenegger may or may not have film.
And Schwarzenegger doesn't remember if he made the comments which Butler attributed to him.
This is a mess that won't be resolved over the weekend.
On top of all of this, the charge is old and Schwarzenegger has done work with the Simon Weisenthal Center, and has had his own father's Nazi past investigated.
I have no clue as to what, if any, effect this will have next Tuesday.
