Please, no flaming or trolling. I am looking to see if anyone here has changed how they intend to vote on Questions 1 and 2 of the recall - i.e. anyone previously supporting Grayout's ouster now support keeping him in office? Has anyone switched from Arnold to Tom, or Tom to Arnold?
Please do not respond if you just signed up.
Thanks.

I'd be more curious to see who Freepers would prefer if this race was solely between Arnold and McClintock.

Arianna was so shocked by the LATimes story, that she is now seriously not going to vote for Arnold. Unless he calls...

I'm sure you already know my answer to this question, but just for the record ...
No.

If there is one Freeper still posting here who cannot see the absolutely essential need to defeat every democrat, then I'm afraid for our country.Tom McClintock is an impediment, not an answer. Sorry about that.
There is no doubt that the timing of the attack on President Bush over Novak's July column, the attack on Arnold in the LA times today, and the drug attack on Limbaugh today, is in part an attempt to color the California race. Without California, all of the midgets running for president have zero chance.
What we have seen in the past twenty four hours is the Democrats version of "Shock and Awe." As for me, I am neither shocked nor awed, for I experienced those tactics personally during the Clinton administration.

Bush drunk driving arrest, the rumor that Bush plans to cut sugar subsidies on the eve of the LA Senate race. Someone's got to anticipate and have a strategy in advance for this kind of stuff.

I am curious because I think we might be a microcosm of the larger public. If this story was to erode Arnold's support among anyone, it would seem most likely with hard core conservatives.
On the other hand, the unaffiliated "independent" voters are a notoriously fickle lot. The real danger is if they conclude that it is better to "go with the devil you know" (Davis)... Bustamante is damaged goods, and people think Tom can't win, and there is no way to change that self-defeating opinion with four days to go.
Thus if Arnold implodes, so does the recall.

At the beginning of the recall campaign, I said to my wife, "The Friday before the election, the LA Times will unload a giant stinkbomb on whichever Republican they fear most. That's the guy I'll vote for."
The Times was a day early (leading me to believe they have followup for tomorrow and Monday's editions). But they didn't disappoint me.
I was leaning toward McClintock.
Now I'm definitely voting for Arnold.
I hope he wins in a landslide.
