Is Tom McClintock the choice of true liberals?!
LA Times ^ | Sept 30, 2003 | LA Times

Posted on 10/01/2003 12:45:13 AM PDT by Tempest

Well the question is obviously rhetorical but let's look at some interesting data from the latest LA Times poll. And well considering how so many Tom supporters trust the LA Times I figured they might find this data quite interesting.

What is your impression of Tom Mclintock?

Favorable: 62% (likely voters) Breakdown: 39% (Dems) 88% (Rep)

Unfavorable: 25% (likely voters) Breakdown: 40% (Dems) 8%(Rep)

What is your impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger?

Favorable: 58% (likely voters) Breakdown: 30% (Dems) 89% (Rep)

Unfavorable: 39% (likely voters) Breakdown: 65% (Dems) 10%(Rep)

Should Tom McClintock stay in the race to help the Democrats split the Republican vote? (Paraphrased)

Stay in: 58% (likely voters) Breakdown: 80% (DEMORATS!!!) 36% (Rep)

Drop out: 36% (likely voters) Breakdown: 15% (Dems) 61% (REPUBLICANS!!!)

There you have it. Tom has graciously decided to stay in the race at the request of the OTHER PARTY!!!! Good job Tom!!!

Your party has spoken Tom.

The contributers to your "surge" in popularity has been revealed!

Stop being a tool, with friends like you who needs enemies.

He's ran a decent race and made his point. He should get out by Friday and and if he doesn't want to endorse Arnold, signal to his supporters to back the candidate who denies the Democrats continued one party control of California.

Yep, at this point it's clear that the majority of people whom are supporting him are the Democrats and the reasons for that is obvious. I hope people are smart enough to realize what's happening.

Let him stay in.

Let's see if the "OnlyRealConservatives" have any standing to make or break a general election featuring a moderate, charismatic Republican candidate.

This contest will provide insights into how seriously FReepers should take all the holier-than-thou Conservatives who will be badmouthing, extorting, threatening, undermining and predicting a painful demise for George W. Bush in November, 2004 if he doesn't start returning their calls, providing them an IT job, and showing them the deference their purity warrants.

Keep McClintock in the race, let his promoters celebrate his 11% showing with the knowledge that the truly inspired and misunderstood: Big Bang, Tyrannoasaurus Rex, Peking Man, Jesus Christ, Aquinas, Gallileo, Lincoln, Churchill, Mother Theresa, Ghandi, Chuck Berry, Lenny Bruce, Charo, New Coke, David Hasselhoff and Alan Keyes ... were not fated to be appreciated in their time.

What gets me is how the Democrats have seem smart enough to orchestrate such a scam as to give McClintock false hopes all these weeks.

I'm surprised that the true-believers haven't bothered to respond to this data.

Don't be surprised if this willing dupe take his shtick on the road (out of state) next year.

Ahhh yes. Of course now it's the internal Democratic polling that shows McClintock is still surging with 99% of the vote that's being touted as the "realdeal" ;^)

John McCain was trumpeted as ALL THAT (and more) on the covers of Time, Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report the same day, one week after he beat Bush (with all that Dem crossover crap) in the New Hampshire primary.

I've never seen such a media push as Crash McCain got from the Olympians. Oh, until Howard Dean. That is, until Wesley Clark.

In the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"I'll be back" To bump this thread and to not allow this topic to die so easily.

I'll be crossing over to "help" Dean ;) I think he'll be easier to beat than Clark.
