It sounds like you do not want to leave the U.S and go to California. Similar to Mexico, leave your car at the border.

Councilwoman Janice Hahn said the penalty is needed to help the city "hit people where it probably hurts the most."

"In Los Angeles, the car is king, and if you don't have your car, you're in a world of hurt," she said.

Great. A city councilwoman wants to hurt people.

I don't approve of putting the police departments in a position to benefit financially from confiscating property. That's what this amounts to.

If you "obey the laws"...you have nothing to "fear".

Now, show us your papers please...

And if it's a leased or rented car?

I would guess that they still take the car and the owner would be liable to the title holder for it's current market value...

authorizing police to seize cars from people suspected of using their vehicles to engage in pandering

Seizing Pimpmobiles? This is an outrage!

"Seizing Pimpmobiles? This is an outrage!"

The outrageous thing here is that property is being taken from people without due process. These people haven't been convicted of any crime, yet their property is being taken from them.

Would you feel differently if the penalty for speeding or other traffic infractions were seizure of your vehicle?

Relax, okay-I agree with you!

A guy can't make a joke around here without some humorless people jumping all over him

It sounds like you do not want to leave the U.S and go to California.

If one state doesn't want to abide by the Constitution in any way, it would be better to cut them off from the USA. It really would be better to let them just join Mexico.

What is "pandering"? Isn't that what Democratic politicians do to win votes? Can we impound the Governors car now when he goes to LA. If giving illegal invaders the right to drive and vote and go to school free isn't pandering what is?

Councilwoman Janice Hahn said the penalty is needed to help the city "hit people where it probably hurts the most."

Why stop with that? Just invoke the death penalty. But then that wouldn't make any money for LA , would it?

Can you point this out to the L A City Council? They are mostly Dems, also. Davis' taint has left a musky odor on them more than once.
