Sean Hannity Blasting the Dems (Vanity, Opinion)
9/30/03

Posted on 09/30/2003 1:20:02 PM PDT by NYC Republican

Sean is blasting the Dems on his show... While this is nothing new, the level of frustration is at an all-time high, in my opinion. He's hitting all of the important notes.

* There's no story here with the Novak column, it's all bunk

* The Dems are lying/misrepresenting for political gain.

* The President would become reticent to act next time there's a crisis, as the criticism is relentless, and unjustified

* The Republicans need to answer the lies, etc...

* The Dems want things to go wrong, they want the Iraqi war to become a quagmire, they want the economy to head south - even though both of these are by and large positive

He's in pretty rare form. Kudos for blasting away.

I can not listen to Hannity. Too much screaming etc. Especially when the lefties are on there. Love the mellow mood of the Rush Limbaugh show.

Too bad I just heard that blowhard O'Reilly in essence say that the Bush admin is getting what it deserved, because it engaged in the "politics of hate" when it "tried to smear" Wilson by "revealing the name of his wife". Someone please call up that idiot and set him straight...

I never listen to O'Reilly... I can't stand him. I wish Scarborough would go head-to-head, I'd always watch Scarborogh...

It's as if he's going out of his way to prove he's not conservative, he over-compensates...

In NYC, the choice is easy- O'Reilly starts at 2, Rush is on from 2-3. Sean starts at 3, so it's STILL an easy choice.

There is no stronger defender of our wonderful President, Mr. Hannity- that's who.

If in fact somebody leaked classified information to the press, that person deserves to be punished, regardless of whether its a Democrat or a Republican.

Absolutely, I think we all agree on that.

Love the mellow mood of the Rush Limbaugh show.

Heard a good portion of both Rush & Hannity talk shows today. Hannity is making a much stronger case for Bush than Rush. Sometimes I get the impression Rush is on cruise control ... he doesn't have the spark & passion of the earlier years.

I like Sean Hannity. That is, until he gets into exchanges with callers having opposing views.

He initiates the call by saying that they WELCOME liberal callers. But then he becomes a screaming, badly mannered host.

Unlike Rush Limbaugh who NEVER lost his cool in 16 years on the radio, Hannity calls liberals liars, and will not conduct a mature exchange. His credibility is wanting when he goes down this road.

I bet Sean wants to get listener back on his team again. Many conservatives have been so disappointed in his behavior during the (R)nold tail kissing saga. I guess Sean is reading his emails. Instead of talking about his support for Arnold, he is doing something that all conservatives agree on, attacking the mindless, lying Dems. Good move Sean, I still think you have lost some fans.

I absolutely enjoy his show. He's fantastic, and I can't understand why so many of you fellow FReepers criticize him the way you do. So, he doesn't agree with you 100% of the time, big deal.

Ask yourself, what major issue do you disagree with? Taxes? Pro-life? Family Values? His views parallel your boy McClintock's almost to a tee (I happen to have great admiration for McClintock as well, though I struggle with his staying in after the next round of polls, if in fact he's still trailing badly).

Do I listen to him for his intellectual insight? Nah, I have Rush on in the background for 3 hours before that. I also check out various web-sites including FR for my news and mental stimulation.

Am I more informed or smarter after listening to Sean? Not really, same answer as above.

Sean may be an intellectual light-weight, and that's fine. He's not going to change that- we already have the Coulters/Rushes/Hewitts for that. He does, however, serve a HUGE purpose.

What is it?

GET THE CONSERVATIVE MESSAGE OUT!

No one works harder or is more influential in this country, including Rush, than Sean is. I'm so glad he's on our side... I'd bet he's responsible for bringing more people to our side than any other media personality-period.

I keep him on in the background, and in the car when I'm fortunate enough to leave before 6. I LOVE the way he pounds libs and doesn't let them get away with their lies. I LOVE the way he gives them just enough rope to let them hang themselves in debates. True, he's often not the best debater and can be arrogant, but think about how much good he does. He sticks to the message and pounds away again and again, until any simpleton gets it and understand the ramifications involved when deciding on who to support. You and I are not necessarily always the target audience. If it's a soccer mom, or a small business owner, or a person who's been totally brainwashed by the liberal media- the more the message gets out, and the lies and hypocrisy are exposed, the better off we'll all be.

I'm glad he's on our side. Are you?

He did go a bit overboard there, but he's been giving McClintock more than equal time... He just wants to win, as do many of our fellow FReepers.

You're exactly right. It has the net effect of preaching to the choir, convincing noone that wasn't alread convinced. Anyone that may have been swayed by a mature discussion and rational exchange is driven away.

I agree with Sean Hannity 95% of the time. The 5% I disagree with has something to do with not wanting to protect the identity of the victim in the KB fiasco.

Speaking of those two, I listen to most of their shows each day. I also listen to Laura Ingraham. She is on 1370 AM in Austin from 8 - 11 A.M. Very seldom does she get upset with callers.

You are exactly right about the value of Sean Hannity.

He is able to attract listeners who have not been politically 'tuned-in' until now, perhaps because their education did not include a proper perspective, perhaps because they have been listening to music until now.

He also has united 'closet' conservatives across the country, establishing more proof that conservatives are the Mainstream in America.

I do not listen to him for info - which is always available on FR first - but to hear the reactions of his callers.

She's my new favorite! She just started in NYC, replacing Larry Elders, who was also really, really good...

What wonderful President? The one who won't close down our borders? The one who doesn't seem to mind that American citizens are murdered every day by illegal aliens who have NO GODDAMNED RIGHT TO BE IN THIS COUNTRY? The one who could have put a stop to the so-called "Freedom Ride" but didn't? The one who is selling our birth right as American citizens down the river? The one who pretends to be a Christian but really isn't? The one who could give a f_____k less about my daughter's and my granddaughter's futures? Is that the "wonderful President" you are referring to?
