It'll come, it'll be celebrated. It'll bloat. It'll fail, and privitization will return. Then the calls for it to return will occur.. Endless loop of socialism.

And--even better--once established, it can never be rolled back--abolished, due to the well-known "ratchet effect". Those cold, calculating Republicans will be portrayed as "wanting to take 'what's yours' (i.e., "free" health care), with appropriate images of infirm grannies shown by the media.
Naturally, over time, the best and brightest will decide more fruitful and satisfying occupations exist--such as law--and the "doctors" you get will be third-raters who tend to send you on the "dirt nap" mentioned above.

When doctors are vastly overloaded they will do the same as mechanics or anyone else do. They will sign off on paperwork for things not actually done. They will not set their feet firmly and refuse to see patients they have not time for.

When I was living in Japan, a Japanese co-worker told me a joke about socialized medicine in Japan.
A group of elderly people would go to the doctor each day and meet each other. One day one of their friends didn't show up and they wondered if the friend was really sick.

...eternal celestial dirt nap... Sorry, this is a great phrase. I completely believe the premise of the article. F-ck Socialism. It will kill the U.S. (my guess, by 2025).
