According to the local Hispanic community organizers The Immigrant Workers Freedom Ride bus will arrive at the Primitivo Garcia School, Sunday, September 28, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. (Arrival time of bus is approximate. They are coming from Wichita I believe)
The school will host activities from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
9:00 a.m. Interfaith Celebration, 10:00 a.m. Speakers, 11:00 a.m Welcome (Bus arriving), 12:00 Community Meal, 1:00 p.m. Rally and Send Off of Bus
The Garcia school is located at 1000 W. 17th St., Kansas City, Mo.

There we go again, providing proof that FreeRepublic is an anti immigrant hate group!For the record, I'm pro-immigration. Four of my eight great-grandparents were born in Poland, my grandfather was born there, my grandmother was raised there. I think we should expand legal immigration but take steps to make sure we get people who are going to contribute, and if you don't cut it back you go.
Illegal immigration is the opposite of that process.

Must be due to cultural and historical reasons (or some other such balderdash).
I became aware of it and have proof that not only is the State of Kansas granting these licenses to those whom they know to be illegal, they are granting them to illegals who do not live in KS.
After writing and today, phoning the KS Attorney General's office, I was politely told that this is a "Federal" issue. I asked why my driver's license stated that it was a Kansas license not a Federal license, I was told that they would transfer my call to the Treasurer's office if I wished.
I am currently checking into whatever legal steps I need to do to enforce state laws on driving.
This young woman lives with her family in KCK and when I agreed to give her some part-time work, I was unaware that she and her family were illegals.
There is a church group that is sponsoring these and other families in the Kansas City metro area.

And the people doing the tarring are hate-filled racists.
I'm fully aware that both parties are signatories to what is happening prodded so by Labor (who are looking for more uninformed members, get it)and businesses (who claim to give the public what they demand),claiming to provide lower priced goods and services, demanded by everyone.
I personally believe that everyone should contact his or her elected officials to find out whether or not they have slipped this one over on the taxpayers of America.
I concur. I was attempting to be witty as recently the Chair of the Fresno, CA "Human Relations Commision" had accused FR of harboring anti-immigrants.Actually, your joke made a very good point. The pro-illegal immgrant activists intentionally confuse opposition to illegal immigration with opposition to any immigration, in an effort to call the whole thing "racist".
I have no quarrel with those who to come to the shinning city on the hill to make a better life here. I do have a problem with those who seek to plunder and have no intention to assimulate.The word "assimilate" is also abused by these people. They claim it means no ethnically distinct behavior at all. Clearly that is a pile of steaming clinton, as every ethnic community in the US retains its own cultural traditions. There are certain forms of "assimilation" we have a right to expect, though. Basic things like respecting individual rights (even those of the women in your immigrant/ethnic group), work ethic, sanitation (in your nation B.O. may be considered a fact of life....here it's considered offensive), and ohhh yeah....at least making an effort to learn our common national language, just like every other immigrant group before you did.
The illegal immigration supporters would deny our nation the right to select who we let in. Considering the fact that they wish to destroy that which made our nation the greatest in history solely for their own political gain, that isn't suprising.
