AMMAN (AFP) A London-based Islamist group said Friday that four Jordanians out of 15 people wanted by the government here in connection with a terror cell were killed in Iraq. A statement received by AFP from the Islamic Observatory claimed that Munzer Abu Shima, Omar Oteibi, Abdul Hadi Daghlas and Moez Nsour were all killed during the US-Zionist-crusaders' attack on Iraq.
The group quoted two other Jordanians wanted by Jordanian authorities that were accused of being part of a terror cell and conspiring to attack US and local targets.
Last week, Jordan's military prosecutor Mahmoud Obeidat charged 13 Jordanians and two Iraqis for membership in Al Qaeda and Ansar Al Islam, a group based in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Obeidat built up his case following the March 30 arrest of Jordanian suspect Ahmad Riyati by US troops in Iraqi Kurdistan and his subsequent extradition to Jordan, according to the prosecutor's charge sheet.
All the others are fugitives wanted by the Jordanian authorities in connection with the case.
The Islamic Observatory said it had received a statement from two of the wanted men Shihada Kilani and Mohammad Koteishat that said they were from Salt.
The pair denied the charges against them, saying we did not plot to strike US interests in Jordan, tourists or Jordanian intelligence officers.
They also denied any links with Al Qaeda and Ansar Al Islam, although they admitted to having fought in Afghanistan at an unspecified time.

For all those who think that the Dubya strategy of killing terrorists
drawn to Iraq is not such a great idea (instead of leaving them to come to
make merry on the USA)...
...as much as I hate the expenditure/sacrifice of US soldiers and our tax
dollars in Iraq...I hope this story is just an indication that Iraq will
be the ultimate, final "Roach Motel" for as many Islamic terrorists as possible.
