This would be funny if it wasn't so sad: These pot smokers teach at a very prominent, very expensive prep school in a suburb of Detroit, MI, where the parents pay more for their kids to attend high school than one would pay to attend college at a public university. They have a pre school year party and 5 of the teachers decide to smoke pot on school property, in front of other faculty members who were not smoking pot!

I expect there to be demonstrations outside the school any time now claiming they were fired unfairly, because school was not in session. By the way, smoking pot is still illegal in Michigan. Those teachers could have taken a short trip across the river to Ontario, Canada for their fix.

Wonder if they were trying out for parts in the new Cheech and Chong movie?

I kind of doubt the veracity of this story. We all know its not possible to be a pot smoker and have a job. Just the same, a little tip on discretion for the like-minded:

I think that's the heart of the story.

Cranbrook is a way cool place to smoke... (so I've heard) Beautiful grounds & old buildings. Gardens & ponds... In another life I lost my virginity there one night.

Wolfie, you bad boy, have you started 'stuffing your own'?

(It all depends on what you stuff them with as to whether it's legal to smoke it, huh?)

That's actually a dugout, or "one-hitter", as the kids say.

As for rolling your own, cigarette smokers who are searching for tax-free alternatives should consider the debt they owe to pot-smokers everywhere for advancements in the available technology. ;)

Next we'll find out that they were all glaucoma patients and this was their medicinal maryjane. Were they fired for smoking on school property or was it because it was the Killer Weed or maybe because they neglected to share it with the Assistant Principal?

Yes, they supposedly influence the rising generation, but I bet the kids have better connections to good grass. Many teachers I have met unwind by drinking heavily but at least they don't smoke.

Authorities subsequently clarified that the teachers were not fired for smoking marijuana, per se, but for what was deemed the "highly anti-social behavior, setting a bad role model for our youth, that consisted of bogarting the joint."

I know the type but I hadn't seen one where the hitter looks like a cig.
I thought maybe it was holding a hand stuffed "cigarette" stuffed with something other than tobacco.

Yep, they come in all shapes and sizes. Didn't know the hand-stuffed kind, tobacco that is, could look like store-bought, though. Might have to investigate that!

Close enough as makes no difference.

FWIW, Cranbrook is one of the more exclusive, expensive private schools in Metro Detroit.
