2003 NEWS RELEASES, PRESS ADVISORIES AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS U.S. COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS OPPOSES BAN ON RACIAL DATA COLLECTION

Cites Critical Need for Data in Civil Rights Study and Enforcement

Washington, DC - The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights affirmed that race data is essential to the advancement of civil rights enforcement, data collection and accurate analysis. By a 6-2 vote, the Commission approved the following statement during its monthly business meeting:

"Given the significant role that scientific and empirical data play in academic study and enforcement of civil rights, the Commission opposes efforts to ban the ability of government entities or public institutions to collect racial or ethnographic data."

"As the date nears for the vote on Proposition 54 in California, the Commission is especially concerned about preserving the ability of government and public institutions to collect and analyze race data," noted Commission Chairperson Mary Frances Berry. "Without that data, the United States will be unable to evaluate and ultimately enforce civil rights policies in every arena, from education and health care to labor and housing," she continued.

Or viewed another way - U.S. Commission on Civil Rights supports racial profiling.

Whenever I see one of those stupid "optional" questions about race, I check "other" and write "human".

Yours: Whenever I see one of those stupid "optional" questions about race, I check "other" and write "human".

Obviously, you know what the word "race" means. The PC version lists "race" as tho Blacks, Latinos, Asians are "subhuman or sub/set" categories. The fact that you actually know what "race" means indicates you are educated.

Sincerely yours,

One Human to Another

Don't these dumb@sses know that the proposition exempts federally-mandated racial classification? Everyone just lies, and lies, and lies about this measure.

U.S. COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS [Jesse Jackson] OPPOSES BAN ON RACIAL DATA COLLECTION

Same difference . . .

Yep. I think he's been relegated to mere "activist" and financial "kneecapper" status.. there's some virilent racist academics and "intellectuals" who are running the racism shoppes, now.

Given CA's rising Latino US Census stats plus Pres Bush's outreach to "Hispanics" ... a shape and form begins to take place, no?

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

Yes, they know it. They also know their "dependent voting bases" won't worry themselves over this major factoid.

Even in federally mandated situations, it's still optional. The government DOES want to force people to racially bean count as I personally experienced in a Dept of Labor 'test'. When I asked the lady what the hell pushing square pegs into a round hole has to do with which race I pick, she said... oh we throw out the test if they appear to be bias. When I wrote down 'biracial' she said oh we have to talk about this. I told her there's nothing to talk about if she doesn't want a lawsuit. :-)
