Minority voters would be disenfranchised due to old equipment. Injunction blocking the recall election.

BULLETIN

DAVID KRAVETS, AP Legal Affairs Writer Monday, September 15, 2003

(09-15) 10:19 PDT SAN FRANCISCO (AP) --

A federal appeals court postponed California's Oct. 7 gubernatorial recall election, ruling the historic vote cannot proceed as scheduled because some votes would be cast using outmoded punch-card ballot machines.

If the election is put off until March 2004, the Democrats will defeat the recall effort.

Time for Schwarzenegger to get behind the referendum to repeal the drivers' licences for Illegal Aliens.

This delay will insure the Davis recall, and the defeat of Bustamante.

The Democrats and the 9th Circuit have overplayed their hand.

Apparently it will now be appealed to SCOTUS so this is NOT final by any means....

At least that's what FOX News is saying

This is such a stupid argument. As if any system is perfect at any given time.

Of course, if the equipment is updated, then the criticism will be that the digitial divide is hampering all those poor, helpless minorities who can't use modern equipment.

Since this is a 9th Circuit ruling, it can go to the SCOTUS.

Floria redux.

Oh, to hell with it all. I'm going to just hope the big one hits soon. Red California is not worth all this.

Consistent with Al Gore moving the presidential election into the courts in his attempt to steal the election, the recall will probably be decided by those marvelous California judges, who have already voiced their disapproval of democracy in striking down California's initiatives that don't comport with with good, liberal dogma...
