Eisenhower said once that it was very difficult to look a soldier in the eye knowing that he might be sending that man to his death.

This is so heartbreaking. But one more reason for our resolve to remain strong.
May God bless our troops and their families and give wisdom to President Bush and his advisors.

An Army special forces soldier who shook hands with President Bush last year while he was being honored for his role in the war on terror was killed in Iraq yesterday.

Man, this hurts.

Morehead... was among 10 soldiers who last year placed a piece of World Trade Center debris in an Afghan field during a ceremony.

Pain, pain, pain.

Morehead was scheduled to return home in two weeks.

God, it just doesn't get any worse than this.

Tomorrow was to be his 34th birthday.

Oh, geez, okay, SURE it can! Man, this just bites. A man worth more than all of Afghanistan put together.

May the Lord rest his soul, and comfort his family. I'm watching a 9/11 documentary on msnbc right now.

May the God of all comfort grant strength and peace to all who witnessed, survived, suffered loss that day, or participated in the resue.

Never forget, never forget.

The ONLY WAY to TRULY Honor this man is to commit to Finishing His Mission.

If Our Nation regarded his "Mission" as important enough to Risk his Life,--then BY GOD we Owe it to Him to Complete His Mission!

American Lives--especially Highly Skilled, Highly Trained American Lives--ought NEVER to be "spent" unless the "Goal" is WORTH the Life of One of Our Best!

I HOPE Those who "Spent" his Life can Explain to Us (& His Family) WHY he "Gave His Life for us!"

May God bless both him and his family. And may each of us always remember and honor those heroes who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live our lives as free Americans. Amen.

Indeed. An American to admire. It reminds me of the song, I believe by Billy Ray Cyrus, "All gave some, some gave all." This master sergeant probably spent fifteen of his thirty-three years in uniform, all of it honorable.

The dishonorable candidates who try to turn the country against the most noble of all citizens deserve our scorn. Particularly our immediate past, draft dodging, president
