talent???
I tend to agree after having worked in Oak Lawn (the gay center of Dallas) for all those years, though they have evidently bought only about 200 tickets to the game. However, Rick Warden seems to be the worse culprit here because he is purposefully misrepresenting the facts in the name of Christianity. That's not a very good family value either.
Hohuuum, time to move on to more important matters...
How am I hopeless? Because I want to tell the truth no matter how much going along with a lie would would make me feel self-righteous?What kind of published link do you expect to see and why would you expect to see it?
What exactly leads you to believe that the Rangers are holding Gay Day? Rick Warden has already admitted that they aren't.
Maybe he just said that because he wanted money, or he feared the homos facist litigation tactics.
There could be agreements behind the scenes that we haven't heard about yet. Good people can smell evil.
Rick Warden is not the Rangers' CEO, but is rather the man who is promoting the petition. He said on radio yesterday that the Rangers are not holding Gay Day. He's already admitted that he's misrepresenting the facts.
Enjoy the workout. Pay no attention to the facts.
and remember to keep your kids away on GayDay. It doesn't matter who said what.
Enjoy the workout. Pay no attention to the facts.
EdReform has been the one exception so far. And you, of course.
My ping was copying right from the article and encouraged folks to sign the petition. The petition says nothing about a Freep event, and neither did I.Apparently post 15 notes that the Ballpark in Arlington won't comment whether or not they are sponsoring a Gay Day at Arlington. I certainly hope they're not, but you know organized Gay-Lesbian groups do try to legitimize/promote their 'cause/lifestyle' much as this article suggests.
If management is not promoting a Gay Day, I wonder why they wouldn't just come out and say so ? Are they afraid of offending Gays ? Discriminating on who you sell tickets to is one thing. Not commenting to a direct question ("Are you promoting a Gay Day at the Ballpark in Arlington?") is yet another it seems to me. Answering yes or no to that is not discriminating.
They did. See my post #25.
Sorry if I seemed to imply that, but I consider signing Rick Warden's petition a form of protest, and that's what I was referring to.
They've said so, at least twice. Mike Cramer said so on WBAP-820 and in his dialogue on a Christian Radio station.
Warden is using this as a fund-raising device, and simply won't take "there's no gay day" for an answer.
Signing his petition is a waste of time, as the Rangers will likley not say another word about this subject.
Re #23-24:
Thanks. And it appears that the Ballpark is likely NOT promoting a Gay Day
after all. See my post #52 and Dallas Mike's #53. What a mess, huh ? lol !! ...
I think I understand what's going on now. Thanks ...
I don't know if the Phillies helped to organize their "gay day" or not, I do know that I saw a thread this summer about some fans who got kicked out of the Philidelphia ballpark for protesting homosexuality.
The homosexual agenda is continuing to stomp traditional values in this ongoing cultural war. The "gay" rainbow flag is a political symbol; the ballparks are publicly paid for structures. Why is some political speech permitted while other political speech limited?
I could see the ballteam owner saying that he doesn't want any political banners in the park but that standard is not universally applied.
I'd say that this "in your face/down your throat" posturing will continue to all ballparks. I saw something about Houston's Astroworld themepark having a "gay day" this year. Just like there are rolling blackouts, there seems to be rolling crowds of homosexual activists.
Ask the owner when S&M day at the park is. Ask when footfetishist day at the park is. Homosexuality is a fetish attraction. Embracing it as a "unique" subculture is not right. Other sexual fetishists are not considered a "protected class"; most people will say "I don't want to hear about it" whether they are at the office or the ballpark.
