Ths Sick, Partisan Bias of MSNBC (We should all do this)

Posted on 09/10/2003 3:37:21 PM PDT by faithincowboys

A letter I wrote to MSNBC, we all should send similar letters to other treasonous media outlets--

There is an extraordinary level of liberal bias on your network. Why can't you sublimate you liberal partisanship in favor of the national interest? It would please the vast majority of Americans if you had a lonely reporter or commentator who ostensibly wished for an American victory. I know you want George Bush to be defeated in 2004, but must you try to turn public opinion against a just war? Why can't your reporters put their ideology on pause and just pretend for a moment that they didn't despise America and the Americans who love her? Is there anyway you can just indulge in virtual treason, perhaps a game you play privately in a Georgetown or Manhattan salon of liberal elites?

It would warm my heart if you just for 15 seconds entertained the idea that Saddam Hussein is more evil than George Bush. Also I know you believe Bush and Cheney are involved in endless nefarious conspiracies, but please assign equal venality to Hussein. I know Saddam is misunderstood and you fellas (like Dan Rather) love to look deep in Saddam's soulful eyes, but please entertain the notion that the tyrant that financed terror in Gaza and used WMD on the Iranians and Kurds, and committed daily crimes against humanity might have had ties with Al Qaeda. By the way, when did the CIA become infallible? Also, it would be a treat to see you folks inquire about potential conflicts of interest that Ambassador Joe Wilson might have, I know it's just your job so why should you be expected to do it.

You would only try to discredit Wilson if he accused Hillary of something.

And perhaps you might report on Saddam's endless calls for jihad, but he's secular right? George Bush says "God Bless You" after someone sneezes and you guys act like he is violating the separation of church and state. Humor the millions who are on to you, discuss the overwhelming evidence that Saddam had become increasingly more Muslim since Gulf War I. Also Laurie Mylroie would be a good guest, you can sandwich her in between interviews from the brilliant and effective former officials of the Clinton administration -- that foreign policy powerhouse. And please have someone half-heartedly query them about their pronouncements on Saddam's WMD and potential collusion with terrorists-- points they made in 1998, when Clinton could have nuked Paraguay and you guys would have still done everything to see to it that he didn't have to leave office.

Please root for America in between wishing that all 140,000 American soldiers in Iraq die or get maimed. I know that would do Bush in and that's what you want, but spare fifteen minutes of your self absorbed, nihilistic lives to think about people with loved ones in harm's way

I believe the merger with Universal and spin-off from GE will soon force NBC & its affiliated networks & stations to tone down their blatant liberal partisanship.

Perhaps, A little too strident, but I am furious and I think they should be aware that there are millions like me.

You can write one too. I think we need to mobilize a huge campaign to make America's enemies (foreign and domestic)uncomfortable and to provide aid and comfort to America's heroes.

Nice letter. Sadly, MSNBC doesn't have a monopoly on poor coverage. And I mean just that, I wouldn't have as much dispute with this if they maintained some proportionality. But you see, these idiots that pass themselves off as analysts, anchors, hosts, etc. seem to think their intellect is measured by their liberalism, cynicism and criticism. They are nothing but intellectual wannabes and it's really pathetic if you think about adults behaving this way.

If I had a buck for every time Chris "Pinko" Matthews raised the specter of Vietnam, I'd have more jack than the Sultan of Brunei--it's absolutely defeatist and disgraceful.

I've noticed a increasingly negative tone in PMNBC's coverage in the past few weeks and I have been switching the channel each time they start their anti Bush rant. Hopefully they will get the message.

If not, Fox News gains, other news nets fall

Pinko sure exposes his lack of depth and historical reference, doesn't he? It all drives me nuts.
