Three of four kids interviewed were Latino.

No word on the victims' ethnicity, or the suspects. No real description of the suspects so far.

Police have released a description of the shooter, and were reportedly searching nearby businesses for the gunman. NBC4 will bring you the description of the alleged gunman as soon as it is available. Police are still searching for the shooter or shooters. The suspects were reportedly driving a red Toyota Camry, according to witnesses.

Since the thread seems to be consumed with knowing whether the shooter and victims were white or black. I suggest we make a sick parlor game out of it.

That's because Americans are obsessed with race. Black, white, purple. I have read lots of theories as to why. I don't know if I subscribe to any of them, but you can observe it every day. I even notice myself doing it.

Well just yesterday a 21 yr old was sentences to almost a life term for gunning down a high school student waiting for a bus. Both were black, and I only heard about it on my local news. I am beginning to think the national media feels the ouch of the Internet and needs to make news. A gang of white football players gang raped a freshman in the boys bathroon, and that did not make the news period. I know the kid who went to the school. Shite happens all around.

No doubt its a Hispanic gang shooter/shooters given the fact that almost everyone being interviewed appeared Hispanic, along with at least two of the victims. Several Hispanic gangs have spread east and south of what's left of Pacoima...Who knows.

Uh, I think this thread was about a vicious, brutal drive by gang shooting where people routinely get their brains blown out. Not sports jocks acting like freaks for some stupid initiation or weird jock ritual. There is a big difference between organized, murderous street gangs, and jocks acting like complete AHs.

Sorry I got so snippy too. I was just taking a guess as to the motivations of the shooting. And it is almost always one of those two scenarios in a school shooting.

And which one it turns out to be has a big affect on the media's treatment of the event and it's usefulness to the gun grabbers out there.

The "black gang" shootings disappear from the agenda the moment the race of the perpetrator and victims are released. The "white kook" scenario is used to play the heart strings of suburban moms from coast to coast.

The larger question is why the media, the gun-grabbers, and the surburban soccer moms don't really care about black-on-black shootings.
