When we started making laws just because somebody was offended as long as he was a minority of some sort we became less as a society.

Whenever, a member of a non-minority is offended, they are called names such as racist or homophobe. Whenever a member of a so-called minority is offend we make laws to prevent them from being offended.

What is wrong with this? Why do so-called minorities have the right to be offended, but not the rest of us.

I am offended by homosexuality, can we outlaw?

-- When Kyle Brandon arrived for classes at Cumberland County College one night last spring, he didn't expect to come face to face with dozens of members of the Boy Scouts of America.

Well imagine that, Boy Scouts of America at a county college. How un-American. No wonder Kyle was shocked, he probably expected mostly illegal immigrants.

I hear what you're saying, but can we not include homosexuals with ethnic minorities? They really are not the same.

As a Eagle Scout (May 71) I am tired of these POS perverted pedofiles and homos attacking anything much less the scouts. Their only chance of making themselves legitimate it to bring everyone else down to their level. I don't buy into any attempt, morally or legally to being validity and acceptance to their sick lifestyle.

Send yer money to the BSA and The Girl Scouts of America as they need it folks. Tell all these United Way and Local fund raisers that support the Happy Homo's Life Style where you sent your money and why you "will not" support their organizations with your dollars.

Stand up now folks or bend over later !

"stress of witnessing the start of a Boy Scouts award ceremony for the college's president, Kenneth Ender, was so intense that he broke out in cold sweat"

This queer in all his 36 years of living never had anything else that bothered him to bring on a cold sweat? OOOOHHH ppppuuuhhhlllleeessseeee! Good grief, he chooses a lifestyle that's guaranteed to bring him attention and when faced with opposition he breaks out into a cold sweat due to "stress". He should go back to his psychiatrist and find out why he's so screwed up. Wusses like him need to permanently live in France.

Gays don't want equal rights, they want more rights than most. They want to make it illegal to think of them as immoral or wrong.

The stress of witnessing the start of a Boy Scouts award ceremony for the college's president, Kenneth Ender, was so intense that he broke out in cold sweat, Brandon said.

Oh for cryin out loud, grow a pair.

Exactly the sort of behavior that would've gotten the living crap beat out him, if Brandon was in my troop back in the day.

36 yr old "college student?" sodomite demands the 12 yr olds be thrown off campus ..because they offend him.....
He of course can offend anyone he cares to...and they (even though the majority) should not be allowed to be offended nor voice their offense nor be listened to?
what gall....(though it should be spelled Gaul all things considered)

The Supreme Court did not rule that "the Scouts have a right to discriminate." In fact, in Dale v. Boy Scouts, it ruled that what the Scouts were doing was "not discrimination." It was, instead, the Scouts exercising their "freedom of association" under the First Amendment to the Constitution.

If this person doesn't want to associate with the Scouts, he has his own First Amendment right to avoid that. But when he seeks to push the Scouts out of the College environment, he is asking the College to violate the First Amendment rights of the Scouts. He is committing a civil rights violation under federal law.

Of course the press is helping him, by reporting the matter incompetently ....

Welcome to FreeRepublic.

too bad he didn't walk in on some boy scouts cleaning their pocket knives...he would've done more than just sweat then lol

I don't think so. What you're insinuating is not part of the scouting code.

With all due respect, this "INTREP" thing of your's is getting extremely TIRESOME. Here's a little HUMINT for you: it's OBNOXIOUS. Practically every thread I look into, inevitably, about 5-7 posts into the thread, there you are, "INTREP". You're sort of like the 21st Century's reincarnation of "KILLROY WAS HERE". Impressive.

You know, when I take my dog for a walk, she DOESN'T feel the need to piss on EVERY TREE.

Thank -you ! I am so PO'ed at all these various groups from gays to the ACLU complaining ad infinitum while the rest of us dare not voice an opinion for fear we will be tarred and feathered by the blathering, bigotted, bunch of boobs who inhabit these groups. What would happened if just ordinary people got on TV and started grumping about our 'rights' being taken away by all these very vocal attention grabbers?

I like saying the Pledge, have no problem with Ten Commandments and have never felt threatened because of my sexual preference. These nattering nut cases are the ones with the problems. It is past time that the rest of us spoke up and told them to get a grip.

The stress of witnessing the start of a Boy Scouts award ceremony for the college's president, Kenneth Ender, was so intense that he broke out in cold sweat, Brandon said...

What a p***y...

I grew up a white kid in the Barrio in East L.A. Going to school every day made me break out in a cold sweat. If I saw a car drive by lowered to the ground and full of bandana-clad gang-bangers, I would REALLY get the cold sweats. Fear of your LIFE -- that is worth sweating about. The fact that someone thinks differently than you, that's just magnified hurt feelings.

If I could go back, I would tell younger me to file suit against everyone responsible for making my neigborhood a "hostile environment" for whites.

The world is just not making homosexuals like it used to. Spartans, English warrior kings, Sturmabteilungen... now those groups had some sodomites who would have easily handled the emotional trauma of seeing a troop of Boy Scouts. This quaking as(s)pen has lowered the fear bar right down to the ground.

Don't bend over to pick it up if he's still in the room.
