Pretty early for Cheesehead migrations, but I think there were small bands of Norwegians, Poles and Finns coming into the area with their characteristic lederhosen, pasties, polka music, Usinger's brats and flagons of Schlitz. A Melanesian tribe arrived from the west also, and settled the town of Kaukauna (original pronunciation was Ka-OO-ka-OOOOO-na).Dat area in Door County's heavily Belgian, dontcha know. Ya gots yer booyah, ya gots yer Belgian pie, an' ya gots yer Belgian sausage.
