In case you couldn’t tell that the Democrat senators have lost it simply by the fact that they are still in New Mexico, TexasGOP.org presents the Top 5 Signs that Democrats have lost their grip on reality.

5. Sen. Eddie Lucio complained that redistricting would "take away the Rio Grande Valley’s voice" while he and other elected "voices" of the Rio Grande Valley have taken themselves away to New Mexico.

4. Apparently suffering from extreme megalomaniacal paranoia, Sen. John Whitmire told a law enforcement officer that someone outside his hotel had been pointing a gun at him. In reality, it was a GOP volunteer taking pictures of the runaway Dems with a (gasp!) digital camera.

3. After the U.S. Department of Justice declared that the state senate did not need to have the two-thirds tradition in place to bring up redistricting, Sen. Royce West viciously attacked the DOJ, claiming that by doing its job it was somehow in pursuit of "an ideological, racist agenda."

2. Sen. Leticia Van de Putte attacked a fellow Democrat senator in New Mexico because he publicly doubted the logic of their walkout strategy and "got pretty damn close" to coming back to Texas. Sen. John Whitmire told the Associated Press, "There's something irrational about us being in a hotel for 30 days" and "I want an end game." Reporters later overheard Van de Putte telling fellow senators, "Whitmire has poured us out."

1. Sen. Rodney Ellis got so mad at Dallas radio host Greg Knapp for asking him tough questions that he repeatedly told him to "shut up" before abruptly ending the interview by hanging up. A dismayed Knapp concluded, "That is unbelievable. Sen. Rodney Ellis telling me to shut up several times, Sen. Rodney Ellis who claimed that he would allow me to speak and put my point in and ask him a question and continually he did not. That’s the kind of representative you have in Houston with Sen. Rodney Ellis. That is unbelievable."

i have grown to admire the people like greg knapp and others, especially here at FR. van de putte is just like any other RAT, but louder with spin, lies, and evasion. my gag reflex kicks in after only a few words out of these traitors' mouths. that ANYONE has the fortitude & patience to wade thru it, well, that's something i cant do.

i guess that makes it "art", huh?
