Today is the 10th anniversary of my marriage to the most wonderful conservative woman in the world.

We met in the Young Republicans. Our first date was walking precincts for a conservative candidate for Assembly in Pasadena during the L.A. Riots. When I discovered she was packing a Smith & Wesson .357, I knew it was true love.

I proposed to her on New Years' Eve on the way to an informal gathering of Young Americans For Freedom at Lake Tahoe.

We announced our engagement at the organizing convention that created the Young Republican Federation of California.

We went to Colorado for our honeymoon because liberals were boycotting the state that year.

Our first child was born on Rush Limbaugh's birthday.

Our life has been one of working on a lot of campaign losses and a few fantastic victories. We've been hired and fired because of our uncompromising ideology and our disdain for PC nonsense. We've each left our mark in our own special way on politics and life in California. (Pat Nolan, Jim Rogan, The Clinton Haircut Incident, The Assembly Majority, the Horcher Recall, Proposition 22, Bill Simon, The Assembly, The Senate, and hundreds of weekends volunteering for good people across California.) Through it all, the highs and the lows we've been there for each other. Given the chance I would re-live it all over again exactly the same way.

We've done our part for the next generation of patriotic conservatism, by bringing into the world three smart, beautiful little girls and an adorable wise-guy little boy to carry on our causes and our beliefs some day.

With all this in mind, is it any wonder that I would ask my fellow Freepers to help us celebrate our 10th anniversary?

She’s as beautiful to me today as she was that day ten years ago. There’s probably bit less hair and a few more pounds on me, but deep down we are the same wild and crazy Young Republican Yaffers that we were the day we first met.

So how about a few 10th anniversary BUMPS for my beautiful wife Allison? You all know her as GOPHACK.

"When I hold you in my arms,
And I feel my finger on your trigger,
I know nobody can do me no harm
Because happiness is a warm gun"

Congratulations to both of you!!!

Ten more years, ten more years!! ;-)

Well.

Well.

I'm trying to type even though my eyes are full of tears.

What can I say? You're a romantic at heart, but I always knew that.

I thank God we found each other, because you are my best friend.

I love you, too.

Now go kick some liberal butt. Starting with Arnold.

Congratulations bump! Great story, I love to hear such stories!

My hubby and I celebrated our 10th in April. No kids, though. You guys are very blessed. Four in 10 years!

My sis called me this morning to announce that her guy asked her to marry him. She has been divorced for 15 years, so this is a very happy occasion. It's a good news kinda day.

Sure brag it up, lol. My wife voted for Dukaka in the election prior to our first date and I'm proud to say she is now a registered Conservative. Well I guess if I could talk her into marrying me then bringing her back from the darkside isn't such a big deal after all. MANY happy returns.
