Renegade Texas Democrats are getting desperate, and they have resorted to their usual last ditch tactic.

Race.

In typical Jesse Jackson-Al Sharpton style, they have laid the blame for their failures on the "whites."

SA's outspoken and rotund Leticia Van de Putte is the leader of the skin color invective. As did others in her cadre of runaways, she is freaking out at the specter of big fines, loss of State parking spaces, and other privileges. Thus, she seeks to fire-up minorities -- black and hispanic -- and instill in them racial disharmony in an effort to divert attention from the true cause behind the Dem's flight.

Loss of power, created at the ballot box, is the real problem here. Democrats got absolutely creamed at the Texas polls. And they just can't take it. So they ran away.

Van de Putte has gone on local SA radio and bemoaned the fact that she had to take a loan on her life insurance to survive in swanky style in Albuquerque. She skirts the question of her use of political contributions to bankroll this lavish exile and her weekend jaunt up to Colorado. Apparently she needed to take a short vacation from her long vacation. And quite obviously, she has not missed a meal.

Yet, she paints her efforts as noble. She likens herself to the great civil rights leaders. One expects her, at anytime, to proclaim "I have a dream!"

Well she's dreaming, alright. What she should say is "I have a scheme!'

While Van de Putte's efforts to cause racial strife continue, one should note the obvious. If a white politician were to engage in the same sort of racial slamming, the results would be explosive.

Van de Putte has shown herself to be just another fat cat Demcorat who is trying to manipulate her constituents through racial hatred and division.

Van de Putte is a racist. For that, she should be ashamed.

Odd thing about Van De Putte is that her husband, a multi millionaire is White. Van De Putte is a millionaire phamacist as well.

There's a saying in Maryland, where I grew up. "An honest politician is one who once he's bought, stays bought." Senator Van de Putte was bought by white trial lawyers, and she sure is loyal to the people who paid her.
