AZ needs support in gathering signatures. As this article clearly points out -- the average citizen understands the danger and damage of illegal immigration - but the politicians don't - they are only concerned with getting votes.

But Rep. Steve Gallardo, a Democrat who opposes the initiative, said it's based on a fallacy. He said backers haven't produced any studies that show illegals are using the services, and he said the director of the state's Medicaid program, probably the biggest service that would be affected, has publicly said they require recipients to be citizens.

Well, Mr. Jerk Gallardo, if there are no studies showing illegals using the services, you shouldn't be too worried about this initiative, right? Another transparent Dumbasscrat Liar.

By the way, if I live in Tucson, where do I go to sign this petition?

Reminds me we should put a revised Prop. 187 back on the ballot in California. I wish our Arizonan compatriots godspeed in trying to get the illegal alien problem under control.

We need to send a message to the Republican establishment we want something done about it - and fast.

"...the average citizen understands the danger and damage of illegal immigration - but the politicians don't..."

The politicians understand "the danger and damage of illegal immigration". 'W' and the rest of them just ignore the problem for their own selfish reasons.

They'll start giving the problem of illegal immigration 'lip service' again next year, right before the November elections.

Then they'll pretend the problem doesn't exist for another four years.

Gee...this seems so 'unfair' to those poor illegals who spend days and even weeks finding a way into the border states. "Can't we all just get along - for the children?"

"It used to be we had the Republicans on our side, and I see that's slipped away,"

For shame Mr. President.

It was great to see Iris Lynch interviewed and quoted in this article in The Washington Times. I spoke to Iris yesterday on the phone and found out that she had been interviewed and that she may be in the paper today.

Iris serves as the secretary of the South East Arizona Republican Club where I serve as President. You can bet that this petition drive is getting a lot of attention at our club meetings. Iris speaks just like the rest of us in the club - we are unafraid to put pressure on our elected Republicans when they are doing something stupid. We are certainly not a social club who spends its time acting as mindless cheerleaders for anyone who puts an (R) after their name. You want our respect and support, you've got to earn it. Go Iris!

If you want to learn more or sign a petition, our next meeting will be on Thursday, 21 August at 6:00pm in Sierra Vista at the Knights of Columbus Hall. FReepmail me for more info and to RSVP.
