Clinton Offers Political Survival Tips to Davis
Gov. Gray Davis has received advice on keeping his job from former President Bill Clinton, a politician who has survived his own challenges.
Former President Bill Clinton has reportedly offered campaign advice to Davis. Clinton met privately with Davis in Chicago last week.
Clinton reportedly advised Davis to act gubernatorial, keep the focus of the fight on the recall process, and avoiding a war of words with Schwarzenegger.
In addition to seeking advice from the former president, Davis is also shoring up support from his political base. Several of Davis' strongest supporters announced plans for a broad grass roots anti-recall campaign aimed at everyone from environmentalists to seniors to union workers. Groups including the Sierra Club, California NOW and the California Congress of Seniors have promised to help with mass mailings and phone banks.

293,000 reserve troops; Eight standing Army divisions;
20 Air Force and Navy air wings with 2,000 combat aircraft; 232 strategic bombers; 13 strategic ballistic missile
submarines with 3,114 nuclear warheads on 232 missiles; 500 ICBMs with 1,950 warheads;
Four aircraft carriers, and 121 surface combat ships and submarines,plus all the support bases, shipyards, and logistical
assets needed to sustain such a naval force.

Red China ? . . . No
Great Britain ? . . . Wrong Again
USA? . .. . Hardly
Give up?
Well, don't feel too bad if you are unable to identify this global superpower, because this country no longer exists.
It has vanished. These are the American military forces that have disappeared since the 1992 election of Bill Clinton and
Al Gore.

Two blind mice, two blind mice! See how they run! See how they run! They all ran after the recall race. It cut off their tails with an issues knife. Did you ever see such a sight in your life as two blind mice?

I just hope he didn't tell Davis to tape a phony apology commercial, like he did in Arkansas in 1982 -- I'll go nuts seeing that on tv 24/7!

The greatest politician except for Hillary is inserting himself into this mess for only one reason I can think of: vainglorious, self-absorbed self-love.
He must still be the center of attention, even if he's walking off a cliff.
I'm having trouble figuring out the up-side to his getting involved with the biggest loser (Davis) since the impeached one himself.
The only thing I can think of is some vainglorious, self-absorbed self-love sense of party loyalty. Not necessarily for the sake of the party, but because he wants to be loved (and worshipped), and the dimwit party has always been the mountain to his Mohammed.

If x42's tips are based on his own personal experience, shouldn't he be telling Davis to do about 90 fundraisers outside the state of California ?

CALIFORNIA DECLARES WAR ON NEVADA, LAUNCHES CRUISE MISSILES Davis Says Recall Timing "Coincidental"
Dateline Sacramento: In a startling twist to the recall saga, Governor "Lights-Out" Davis ordered the national guard to fire 100 cruise missiles at the City of Las Vegas due to what Davis called "the large amount of our State revenues being sucked up by that two-bit town, forcing our State into this 38 Billion dollar mess".
Though the missiles missed Las Vegas and completely distroyed the themometer is Baker, California, Davis said the early morning raid was largely successful.
Said Davis "We have warned Nevada previously and specifically the Motel 6 in Las Vegas from tempting our residents with a friendly atmosphere at the expense on our State. Now they will no longer offer that 'Clean and comfortable room' and will check for I.D. prior to letting anyone in."
Nevada (still laughing) could not be reached for comment.
Arnold fans (the above is satire, it is not to be taken seriously...please do not call the authorities, it was all just a joke...)
DD
P.S. Thank you Fudd for the lead-in, I was thinking about bombing France, but Nevada is good.
