2 blind alligators were trapped last month near Ocean Springs, Alabama, in response to citizen reports of "nuisance" alligators. I guess they must have kept bumping into stuff. Knocking over lawn chairs and what-not. There is no greater nuisance than blind alligators.

The gators are 'keeping an eye out' for human food.

When gators wander into salt water they become blind.

I'm thinking-just maybe-.17 Hornady RF Magnum-fired at night from a boat, with somebody using a spotlight to locate the gators.
The bullet has a lot of steam: probably not quite enough to kill the gators;just enough to knock the optic nerve bundles out of commission before it disintegrates.
