The last 2 lines says it all. These two lines?
"If the Bible is very clear -- as I think it is -- that a heterosexual indulging in homosexual activity for the sake of variety and gratification is not following the will of God, does that automatically say that that is the only sort of homosexual activity there could ever be?
"My own personal conclusion is that I can see a case for acknowledging faithful same-sex relationships," he added.

A living Bible, like a living Constitution, ain't worth the paper it's written on.

Now, the church is throwing this out(like Bill Clinton)to see if it will float or to let us know that this is the way it is.
I am seriously questioning my membership in the Episcopalian Church.

"My own personal conclusion is that I can see a case for acknowledging faithful same-sex relationships," he added."Or animal-human sex relationships? Or three-way relationships? Or faithful relationships between mother and son? Who's to say what is right or wrong? One man's prostitute is another man's girlfriend. One man's boyfriend is another man's boyfriend too....as long as they all agree, right?
Therein is the problem when you first buy into the original lie: "Hast God said?"

I am seriously questioning my membership in the Episcopalian Church. 20 years ago I left to join the The Anglican Province of Christ the King. I was born & raised in the Episcopal church, and erved in just about every non-ordained office (including sexton). It was not easy to leave but I am not sorry I did.

Mine, of 57 years, has ended. My wife and I are working with a retired bishop from the Anglican Province of America and a dozen or more disaffected Episcopal families to set up a new congregation here in our area. Please pray for our efforts - we will need plenty of help. Thanks.

"If the Bible is very clear -- as I think it is -- that a heterosexual indulging in homosexual activity for the sake of variety and gratification is not following the will of God, does that automatically say that that is the only sort of homosexual activity there could ever be? Okay, I am not a Bible reader so those of you out there who are can help me here. Is the Bible "very clear" that the only kind of homosexual activity that is banned is if "heterosexuals" indulge in it? That doesn't even make any sense.
This guy is parsing like crazy to try to find the "Biblical loophole" to allow him to do what he personally wants to do --- follow the culture.

"If the Bible is very clear -- as I think it is -- that a heterosexual indulging in homosexual activity for the sake of variety and gratification is not following the will of God, does that automatically say that that is the only sort of homosexual activity there could ever be?I read this, and re-read this claptrap and have YET to comprehend what the !@#$%^& this bum rumpin' clown is talking about!
If a bishop can't figure out the will of God then first of all they are not fit to be a bishop and secondly they're FOS, selfish, stuckup, arrogant prudes!

"Robinson, who is openly gay, was elected bishop by members of his diocese, but his appointment had to be ratified by the General Convention before he could be confirmed. His confirmation has now been set for early November -- after the planned summit."
Very interesting. Would they confirm a bishop who had left his wife and was living with another woman?

I am seriously questioning my membership in the Episcopalian Church. You are still in it? If my own denomination even allowed an active homosexual to serve as a minister I'd be out of there. Find a church that actually honors the scripture, not one where the clergy distorts the scriptures to their own destruction.

Sorry, but it's not because I'm lazy or I don't know how. A lot of Web sites count clicks on articles they post. And certain Web sites have policies that preclude our posting their articles here in their entirety. I don't post whole articles here just to be on the safe side and to prevent any problems for FR.

If it in some way would move the gay agenda forward. They floated this gay bishop balloon in England and the candidate backed out "for the good of the church". So what next, they ram it through here in the US and now they will take it back to England to show off the new Bishop and show that he isn't an ogre. This is all about the gay agenda and not one whit about what is best for the Church.
