ALBANY, N.Y. - Former Vice President Al Gore should enter the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, said one-time New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, who complained that the sound emerging from the current field is "babble."
Gore, who lost the disputed 2000 race to President Bush, has said he would not seek the party's nomination, and Gore spokesman Michael Feldman said Wednesday, "The vice president is not going to be a candidate in 2004."

I think Cuomo knows that someone needs to play the sacrificial role in '04. Who better than Gore who has no future anyway? Besides, it helps DEMS fan the flames of hatred for Bush to have Gore up against him again in a rematch. That way if it is close (within 3-6 percentage points), they can claim victory again, ask for a recount, and accuse the Bush camp of cheating again.

"Right now, the Democratic voice is not a single voice. It is not a chorus. It is a babble," he said. Webster's Dictionary defines "babble," as "to make incoherent sounds, as a baby does, prattle." Is it just me or is it really pathetic that the article has to provide the definition of a 4th grade word like "babble"?
Further, anyone who does not know what "babble" means really shouldn't be allowed to vote for President, IMHO.

I know....that's why Cuomo wants to dump him into the process. They need someone who is dead meat to ensure a Bush re-election...the pave the way for her highnee in '08.
To: Pikamax
No surprise here, since Cuomo was the traitorous dirtbag who was advocating the "flipping" of electors after Gore's last debacle.
To: Pikamax
Jeez, could the Cuomos be more off track these days? AL GORE? D'oh!

Al Gore has no more substance than the sock that he used to stuff his crotch for his Rolling Stone cover shot.
To: ken5050
Gore spokesman Michael Feldman said Wednesday, "The vice president is not going to be a candidate in 2004." Note to Gore: You're not the vice president anymore. Cheney is. Get over it.

"Prediction: Al Gore tomorrow will announce that he made a mistake in selection Joe Lieberman as his running mate in 2000.. "
Bingo. Gore will claim that it was his selection of Lieberman that cost him the election. That way, he will transfer the mantle of loser from him to Joe. This is a good strategy for him AND for the GOP, which stands to benefit from a field of McGovern clones.
