Can you imagine turning LtGen Forrest loose in Iraq with 20 or so M1A1's, 50 Bradleys, a few squadrons of Harriers and Apache gunships, and 30 days of rations, ordnance and kerosene? The kill ratio would go to 50 to 1 and stay there for the duration of the pacification process, which would not exceed 20 days. At the end of the 20 days the three baathists still above ground would be running a shoeshine parlor at Baghdad International Airport, and glad of it.
