I have a Liddy story. I was at a friend's home once and her roomate came home. "Jeez, I got the Liddy treatment today," she said. I thought she was using that phrase as a metaphor.. .but no, she actually worked for Liddy at his security agency and was called into his office and read the riot act.
As for Nixon, this seems like old news in terms of his operating patterns. I wish he had just admitted it, at least in his books, and had given his full reasoning and apologies if called for. We would have learned a lot more about power politics and Democratic sleeze if he had talked about it.
