General manager Larry Harris announced the decision Sunday.
"It was pretty clear on both sides that this was the way to go," Harris said. "We felt we needed to get someone in there this year and for years to come."

In my eyes, George Karl is the most overrated coach in all of professional sports. He led Seattle to some of the greatest collapses in NBA history (anyone remember seeing Denver eliminate them in the first round when Seattle was a #1 seed?). He was an abysmal failure in Milwaukee, failing to take a team with a load of talent anywhere. Plus, coached that disaster of a team the U.S. put on the floor at the World Basketball Championships.
Whenever Karl's teams went into their inevitable collapse, he'd be standing on the sideline with that stupid smirk on his face, watching as if his team was getting what they deserved. How did this man ever get a reputation as being a great coach, anyway?

Ever since Kohl would not let hom talk to North Carolina, he has been pouting since. He has been non-existent over the last two years. A complete failure as a coach. Yuo could se it in his eyes, he didn't give a s$%t.
