Since he's a geologist, he might be on teh right track.
I'd feel more comfortable if samples were brought up for testing and analysis.

"Since he's a geologist, he might be on the right track." Yup. I saw him on a one hour documentary on the dive to the Japanese structure. He said they were natural structures (he even showed some on land that looked the same) and was gracious enough to tell the people there that "humans may have modified some of the 'natural structures' before they went underwater." In closing, he said he would come back if anyone found writing on the structures.
