Sounds like a sad story, but I couldn't help laughing a little when I read about the relative giggling when talking about missing his "vampire teeth." That is not exactly the sort of touching comments I expect from a relative shortly after a murder.

It is a sad and tragic story. That folks find something to smile about in the midst of grief is remarkable.

No doubt people are still in shock after a tragedy and say stupid things; even if true...they can be stupid; sound vacuous. . .

Does not mean the writer has to include them for publication; read that and thought that should have been 'thoughtfully' edited out.
