More frightening than the Violence Against Women Act are the child support laws. The pay-even-if-the-DNA-proves-you're-not-the-father law has to keep many young men out of play.

At the same time, eligible young women have been raised of the dumb TV show and they seem to suggest that they all are beautiful and deserve to be treated like princesses.

The comment about men's magazines is interesting. True, they portray the objects of male lust. But, in the absence of Miss July, ANY reasonably normal female serves the same purpose just as well. The threat is in the female magazines which, like TV, imprint very unrealistic expectations. Look at the very highpoint of the lives of most females, the wedding ceremony. After the wedding spectacular, it is down hill for almost every female.

So find a woman that doesn't read the women's magazine's and doesn't want a big wedding. My hubby and I were both very happy with our $40 wedding at the courthouse after a pre-wedding meal from Hardee's drive-thru. Life could only go up from there. LOL I think everyone should elope and save the wedding money for either a nice vacation or a house. We didn't have the money for either of those but we still turned out just fine.
