His tax cut is temporary at best, and only helps those employed. As long as federal government spending is increasing, taxes will go up one way or anothter, the tax cut is superficial Whew, I see that MaCauliffe's DNC basement is filled with busy little beavers today.

Don't worry--the Liberaltarians will field a top notch candidate and save us all. The Libertarians have a major flaw: they dont care if every american job is taken away and outsourced to india, they dont care if every american factory closes and moves to china, and they dont care how many millions of illegal mexicans or legal asian immigrants flood our country.

"What a bunch of crap. I am not a republican, nor a "Bush lover" per se, but my personal opinion is that Bush and his administration has very carefully UNDERSTATED the WMD justification for going into Iraq."
What do you mean it was the central justification for the war and hundreds of Americans and hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent on the war so I think we have a right to know why nothing they have told us has come true.

"
In retrospect it is painfully clear that Saddam and Iraq never posed any threat either in terms of intention or capabilities against either American civilians here at home or even to US troops which were invading their own country."Bee Ess!! You don't need to read any further than that.

You cannot truely, honestly, cut taxes, unless you cut spending. That is fact. It has nothing to do with republicans or democrats. Bush will get no credit for tax cuts until and unless he actually cuts real federal spending, as any good republcian would do, as any real republican would do.

The president of the United States had good reason to be concerned. People with reason to know had warned him:
A ruthless dictator whose aggressive intent had already been amply demonstrated now aspired to develop new and awesome weapons of mass destruction.
Once in possession of those weapons, the tyrant would be undeterrable. The nation's security and that of the free world depended on beating him to the punch.
The warning had come in the form of a letter dated Aug. 2, 1939, and signed: Albert Einstein...
There was no time to waste. "I understand," Dr. Einstein told the president, "that Germany has already stopped the sale of uranium from the Czechoslovakian mines which she has taken over." He added that experiments with uranium were even now being conducted at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin...
By that time, Nazi Germany had fallen, and although every scientific laboratory and secret arsenal in the country was being scoured, there was no sign that Germany was anywhere near having a nuclear weapon. Working under the venerated Werner Heisenberg, the German physicists had taken a wrong turn and were still playing with "heavy water" while Robert Oppenheimer's boys were doing the equations and engineering at Los Alamos...
Does that mean the danger never existed? That Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman had over-reacted? That Einstein was an alarmist?"
Liberals are always at a disadvantage when arguing with conservatives, since conservatism is always based upon the lessons learned from history. We always can point back to reality, to substance, to history to give concrete examples that back our positions. Liberals, on the other hand, must rely on revision of history, ignorance, and denial. Even liberals pretending to be
more-right-than-you conservatives (I remember when this guy used to post as rightwing2).

UMD is a bastion of left-thinking socialists. It was when I went there, and it certainly is now.
What type of ~Conservative~ is this author? A Conservative Lefty?
Give this one a grain.....

According to a poll conducted last week by the University of Maryland, 52 percent of Americans believe the Bush administration either "stretched the truth" about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction or told outright lies. Truth is independant of public opinion. If 81% of the people polled believed the earth was flat and the moon was made of cheese, it would not make it so.

We have a right to know exactly everything about WMD, just as we have a right to know of everything involving Pearl Harbor, the Gulf of Tonkin, sinking of the Lusitania, etc. The war is over, everything about WMD should be made public knowledge to americans.

Does that mean the danger never existed? That Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman had over-reacted? That Einstein was an alarmist?" We know the nazis were a threat, we know and it was proved the nazis were working on the a-bomb, and we, the american citizens were given proof. We expect the same for this war in Iraq.
