Time to blow the dust off my Unleashed In The East disc and crank up Green Manalishi. Saw them around '84-'85 in Dayton OH with Iron Maiden. Good show from what I remember.

I may have said in my previous post I was in denial, but in reality, like you, it didn't register on my gaydar screen at the time either. My older relatives would say only a gay man would wear that, but I thought that was how metal stars are supposed to dress (afterall, JP's outfits weren't anymore stranger than those worn by Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, or countless other bands of the time).

Yeah, the "Rocka Rolla", "Sad Wings" period, before they settled on an image and sound Sad Wings of Destiny is a great album. I still love it.

My JP favorites were Freewheel Burning, Delivering the Goods, and Desert Plains. Great motorcycle tunes I can't listen to on my bike... damn.

One more thing, if you want to hear a great song that will bring tears to your eyes in a post 9-11 world, get a copy of the remastered British Steel the song is "Red, White & Blue". Great Song.

Good Evening All-
Excellent news! As a veteran of about ten Judas Priest shows, I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll play stadium-sized outdoor venues for their 2004 tour.
Additionally, I have to believe that their core fanbase is solidly in their peak years for disposable-income and the band/promoters will arrange the concerts accordingly.
