You have probably noticed the recent anti-Bush attack articles appearing in the print media and being reported on TV. The attacks are getting worse by the day and very little positive is being written. The Clinton media "seems" to be in charge of the news we are getting.
Many media outlets are starting to push Dean or Kerry and then there is always Hillary waiting in the wings along with the clintonites in the media ready to support her.
Take time today to write to your local paper and tell them why you are supporting Pres Bush for reelection. If your paper has written a negative article/editorial on President Bush -- write a letter of rebuttal! Please let us know if you get a response or your letter is published!

PRESIDENT MBEKI: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome. I'm very pleased, indeed, to welcome President Bush and his delegation, Mrs. Bush and young Barbara. We are very pleased, indeed, Mr. President, that you were able to come. It's very important for us because of the importance of the United States to our future, and the United States to the future of our continent.
We've had very good discussions with the President, able to cover quite a wide field. We're very pleased with the development of the bilateral relations, strong economic links, growing all the time. Continued attention by the U.S. corporate world on South Africa is very critically important for us. AGOA has had a very big impact in terms of the development of our economy. And we continue to work on all of these matters.
It also gave us a chance to convey our thanks to the President for the support with regards to meeting the African continental challenges. That includes questions of peace and security, the NEPAD processes. Again, very important for the future of our continent. That, of course, also gave an opportunity to discuss some of the specific areas of conflict around the continent.
I must say, President, that at the end of these discussions, we, all of us, feel enormously strengthened by your very, very firm and clear commitment to assist us to meet the challenges that we've got to meet domestically and on the African continent. And, therefore, President, thank you very much, indeed, for coming. We -- the visit will certainly result in strengthened bilateral relations and strengthened cooperation to meet these other challenges that we face together.

NEW YORK (AP) -- The Secret Service will help oversee security at the Republican National Convention in New York, which is scheduled for the week of Aug. 30, 2004, within days of the third anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said Wednesday his agency is designating the convention a National Special Security Event. That puts the Secret Service in charge of federal efforts to design and operate a security plan and coordinate with state and local law enforcement "to prevent terrorist attacks and criminal acts," the Homeland Security Department said.
The Democratic National Convention in Boston, scheduled for the week of July 26, 2004, received the security designation in May.
Gov. George Pataki had requested the designation for the GOP convention.About 48,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will create thousands of jobs for the city, said Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
"The convention will also give us a tremendous opportunity to show the world how far we've come since the attack of 9-11 - a tribute to the spirit of a great city in a free nation," he said.

Dean Aims to Expand Campaign Operations

(Excerpt) MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean is looking to expand his campaign operations into several early primary states, an opportunity created by his successful fund raising.
Joe Trippi, campaign manager for Dean, said Tuesday that the campaign may establish a more formal presence in Arizona, New Mexico, Washington and possibly Oklahoma as early as Aug. 1 or Sept. 1.
Initial plans had called for the Dean campaign to open offices in those states no earlier than October.
Dean led his Democratic rivals in fund raising from April to June, collecting $7.5 million. He also finished first in an Internet primary and formally launched his presidential campaign. "We had a mantra at Burlington and that was Iowa, New Hampshire, Internet and fund raising," Trippi said. "Obviously, we're in a different position now."
Dean was holding strategy sessions with his senior advisers Tuesday and Wednesday in Vermont to figure out how to capitalize on the momentum that his fund-raising success has helped to build.
Meantime, at least one Republican was practically giddy at the prospect of Dean capturing the Democratic nomination. In a memo titled, "Happy Days are Here Again," GOP pollster Bill McInturff crowed about the anti-war Dean winning the nomination or at least pushing the party to the left. "Dean's here to stay," McInturff wrote. "And the long-term impact of his candidacy will accrue to the advantage of President Bush and Republican candidates for Congress." ---

After the eight year loss of the white house to Ike, the Democrats moved to the right a bit with JFK. When in his inaugural speech JFK asked, "Ask Not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your county" he sounded a lot more right than left. JFK was certainly to the right of Adlai Stevensoon.
With JFK and then LBJ holding the presidency for 8 years, and then a NIXON win in 68, by 1972 the Democrats were ready to make a sharp turn left. And the McGoven debacle did indeed happen. The leftist Democrats think if a "moderate" HHH could not beat the HATED NIXON, then they needed to turn left... .and they did.
After the 1972 shellacking, the Democrats moved a bit to the right with a former Southern Governor ... Jimmy the CArter. Just 6 years earlier Jimmy had refused to condem the racial views of segregationist George Wallace. In 1970 Jimmy's campaign even published scandalous pictures of his primary opponent in the race for Georgia's governorship. ? Jimmy actually published pictures of his opponent shaking hands with a black man... Gash gasp ..Jimmy ment to imply that they couldnt tolerate that in good ole Georgia ... could we Jimmy?
But after 4 years of Jimmy and eight popular years of Reagan, they reached south for a southern moderate named Bill Clinton.
But after Gore got beat they are doing the same thing they did after the HHH defeat. The are making a sharp turn left. The Democrats are embraceing Dean much like they did George McGovern 30 years ago.
It is as if the Democrats never learn from their mistakes.
I have often thought that National Democrats should marry the daughters of California Republicans. Their offspring would provide free enterainment for us all.
Victory? Victory for whom? You must mean the Republicans, because I am having serious doubts whether it will be a victory for Conservatives.
Rather than writing the press with a pro-Bush message, I suggest Freepers write the White House with a pro-Conservative message.
Ask Mr. Bush to start supporting a Conservative agenda such as:
1) Protecting our borders from foreign invasion.
2) Supporting traditional family values by speaking out against the rabid homosexual activist agenda.
3) Protecting our industry (what little we have left) from unbalanced trade practices, especially with those countries that employ slave labor. (It was wrong when the Nazis did it, and it’s still wrong.)
4) Avoid Hillary-like prescription drug plan paid by federal income tax.
5) Not send $15 Billion dollars of our money to sub-Sahara Africa (that’s $150 of YOUR money if you’re an average Joe) just because those people can’t get it through there heads that you’re not suppose to stick things where they don’t belong.
6) Stay out of entanglements in Africa.
Does no one remember what happened to the Romans? They had a great empire going. But, then they got cocky and sent their great military to far-flung corners of the world. Barbarians moved in and took over. History repeats itself. People who believe they are exempt from that rule only accelerate their doom.
With a little thought, I’m sure you can come up with a few of your own.
As for those who’d say, “Well, it would be a victory over the Democrats.” - I say the lesser of two evils is not cause for celebration.
In a speech at an annual conference sponsored by the
Allen & Co. investment bank, Redstone said advertising
spending is coming back after a long slump.
"The media industry is on the threshold of
breakthrough performance," Redstone said, briefing
reporters on his speech as he emerged from the
conference center. "We're in for an advertising
rebound. ... I'm very optimistic about Viacom, but
also for the industry."
I spent many years in media management. Advertising revenues go down about 6 months before the economy tanks. They start to recover about 6 months before the economy starts to boom again. This looks to me like 2004 is going to be a good year. An Advertising rebound is a leading indicator that I have never known to be wrong. There will be more and more favorable economic news every month in 2004.
When companies get ready to ramp up production, they first ramp up advertising. That means in a couple of months the call backs to work start, and the new hires start happening. By next summer it should be prosperity city.
Oh and don't worry about a Vietnam Style Quagmire in Iraq like we had in both Korea and NAM. For a quagmire to happen the enemy has to have a safe haven. In Korea it was the area North of the Yalu river.The bad guys could go north and we were not allowed to attack them from the ground or air.
In Nam the North Vietnamese had safe havens in the North. When we attacked they retreated. When we dug in they attacked back over the border. The safe haven is a huge advantage that can not be overcome short of getting rid of the safe haven.
In Iraq there is no safe haven. Syria, Saudi,Iran,and Kuwait are not safe havens.With out a safe haven there can be no quagmire.
We are taking out hundreds of the bad guys for every one of us. The media is not reporting it in that way, but we are. In not too long a time Iraq will be peaceful, because the terrorist will have all been either killed or imprisoned.
A booming economy, will take Bush in the the mid 60's approval rating by the election next fall.
Bush could win 65 percent of the vote. Reagan won 58 percent when his approval numbers were at 58 percent. If Bush gets over sixty he will have coattails of a length not seen in over 80 years. It is looking more and more like 2004 will be known as the year of the Decline and Fall of the Democratic party. You should do a book on that subject.
We need a new opposition party... Why not call it the "Lets Party" party and have MTV head it up. They would never win... and never care.
Love to, but...
My local paper, the Louisville Courier-Journal, is a subsidiary of USA Today. Their editorial staff is vitriolic in their contempt of the President, and pro-Bush letters are routinely spiked.
Their ombudsman, a liberal heffer, admitted to this practice on a local talk radio program several months back.
