And after all, isn't that what this really is about? We needn't all agree on the issue of homosexuality to believe that the government should treat every citizen alike.
I have to say I agree with Sullivan on this point. Homosexual behavior should be equally illegal for all people. As should same-sex marriage.

I think one thing Sullivan doesn't really address is that this is an experiment. Guys are the true sluts. I would be far more comfortable with lesbians honoring their wedding vows than men... well just because they are men.
I think the honus is on gay men. Public lewdness is not tolerable in our culture. People are for more tolerant I think of a quiet conservative homosexual couple, than an in your face hedonist who puts themself out on public display.
So much of "gay culture" is just crap. It is not innate. One does not wake up gay and feel a deep compulsion to dress in drag or with leather and chains. Once gays quit stereotyping themselves, perhaps people will stop stereotyping them as well. Just a thought.

One of my friends admitted to a group of us that "it" once "twitch" while he was watching Big Time Wrestling.
We were taken back at first. Then we came to our senses and beat the living
sh@t out of him and removed his name from our speed dials.
