Any idea what the median contribution amount is? Or the number of contributions within certain ranges? Bush generally kicks in the $1000.00 range, though you would never know it by listening to the Dems and their press mouthpieces.

Any idea what the median contribution amount is? Or the number of contributions within certain ranges?I'm not postive, but I believe the average overall contribution to Bush has actually been a very low number, something like either $54 or $540 bucks, either way, not including the maxed out fundraisers, they are making a killing on just the sheer number of donors alone.
Generally, dems have relied on a few large donors, I believe there is a now dead network of soft money donors of like under 200 for the democratic party (including unions and groups and such).

Added to his busy schedule was a speech on Medicare (search) prescription drug legislation that he gave to a mostly Spanish-speaking audience at the Little Havana Activities and Nutrition Center in Miami. The administration promised to deliver a full translation of the president's remarks, which focused on urging the House and Senate to reconcile differences between Medicare bills the two chambers passed last week.
Hey showboy.... he's working all sides of the political landscape. A President for all, not just certain segment...... Looks like the word is getting out and many are responding with money support regardless of the spin you are perpetuating....

The combined totals of the Democrats do not come near what Bush has raised when one ponders the possiblity that many of the "leftist nine" will not run for the election cycle, thereby pocketing the proceedes! Senate campaigns also seem to enrich democrats, and republicans alike at times. But all republicans can rest easy that their donations will be spent in the Presidential race, provided they've given to the Bush Campain.

I like to think that maybe I made a point, however, when their phone solicitor called me asking for money and I told her that I was going to wait and see...
IF they insisted in giving a "rebete" to folks who didn't pay income taxes and meds to ALL senior citizens I was going to consider that my "donation".
I got a deep inhalation and a "Have a nice day".

Thanks for the reminder and the cool poster! I know this sounds like a dumb question, but with CFR, I'm not certain anymore, so here goes: Does anybody know that if I write a check to the Bush/Cheney campaign for the hard money limits, can I also attend a lunch or fundraising event and not violate the new CFR rules this election cycle?
To: alwaysconservative; PhiKapMom
LOL.... Don't start me to lying..... I don't know the details.... You'll have to ask that question to someone within the committee I'd guess.
However you can givethe max hard money $2,000 as part of a fund raiser or luncheon event I believe. That's what a lot of the recent ones have been, rubber chicken to dine on and a speech, etc.
PKM.... any suggestions as to where to go for an answer?

Thanks for the info! I seem to remember that in 2000, most of Algore's donations came from such big-money "luminaries" as Stephen Bing, while the vast majority of President Bush's support really did come from "the little people". Ann Coulter did a column on this, about fundraising in Malibu, or something like that, which was really hilarious.
Thanks again!
