The Israel Defense Forces discovered a suicide terror explosive vest bomb this afternoon near Tulkarm, a military source told The Jerusalem Post.

"We received information from Israeli intelligence that an explosive vest bomb had been planted in a field outside of Turlkarm and that a suicide bomber was expected to pick it up and attack an Israeli target in the coming hours," the source said.

"We dispatched our Paratroopers to the scene where they found a 10 kilo explosive vest packed inside a bag under some dirt. A robot removed the vest and we destroyed the vest bomb in a controlled explosion," the source stated.

"The IDF will continue it's anti-terror operations in the hours and days ahead to protect Israel's civilian population from barbaric acts of terrorism," the source concluded.

The Israeli security establishment has prevented 25 Palestinian terror suicide attacks in the past three months.

Ping. Some "cease-fire." These terrorists continue to plan terrorist acts even during talks of stopping. This is not a cease-fire but a stoppage for them to rearm, and get stronger. But the Bush Administration roadmap looks away.

The Israeli security establishment has prevented 25 Palestinian terror suicide attacks in the past three months

I wonder how many will be prevented (and carried out for that matter) during the 3-month "cease-fire" with the terrorists.

I expect to see many bombings just prior to any cease fire.

where they found a 10 kilo explosive vest packed inside a bag under some dirt

I think I would have left it in place, with the addition of a small AP mine under the vest of course.

"The IDF will continue it's anti-terror operations in the hours and days ahead...

What else can they do?

As long as terrorist operations continue, and IMHO they will for there hasn't been, isn't, and won't be any stopping to these atrocities until the Jewish race is extinct. This has been professed by the Palestinian terrorist groups time and time again and obviously there isn't, hasn't been, and won't be a Palestinian in power that will put a stop to their professed actions.

Yoni, Zahal will go on preventing attacks on Israeli citizens, whether or not we have hudnas, cease-fires or truces or any other pretences of peace-making.
