This has been a lousy week down here for our police and military. A Langley guy was killed along with his son on vacation no less, in Idaho; a state trooper was hit and killed along with his son by a drunk driver; a VA Beach policeman was shot to death by a robber, and now this.
You know what though? All these people killed either in the line of duty or just at an intersection in time are honorable men and there is a special place for them. God Bless their families.

This is the Special Ops guy that was killed in Afghanistan. Still a lot of hunting for Osama going on over there.

A local Navy commando died this week after a firefight with suspected rebels in eastern Afghanistan, military officials confirmed Friday. I think it's safe for us to conclude that these "suspected" rebels were, in fact, rebels(?)

Trav and harp, thought you would want to see this if you haven't already.
God rest his soul, and comfort and bless his family and friends. God grant that we always have an abundance of individuals like him prepared to protect and defend our Cosntitution and liberties against all enemies foreign and domestic.
